Description:

In this position, you will work as a member of the Regional Offices, Region Four, National Preparedness Division, Technological Hazards Branch. The ideal candidate for this position will have emergency management experience in creating, evaluating, assisting, or coordinating exercises.

Requirements:

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for this position at the GS-9 level , you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

  • Assisting in the development of emergency management plans and processes; or
  • Evaluating emergency preparedness or response planning.

OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D, if related
OR
Combination of education and experience
